  • Mohs Procedure
  •
  • Additional specialist schemes currently in pilot phases

The UK NEQAS CPT subscription year runs from April to March but registrations to our external quality assurance and proficiency testing services are accepted throughout the year.

For enquiries about membership and joining UK NEQAS CPT please contact us at cpt@ukneqas.org.uk

For enquiries about invoicing and purchase orders please contact us at accounts@labxcell.org

Each of our EQA / Proficiency Testing Schemes require the participant to submit material from their routine diagnostics archive. Additionally the General Pathology and Neuropathology Scheme requires the participant to stain control material provided by UK NEQAS CPT for named targets. Further details on the requirements of the Schemes provided, please see our Scheme Specific information pages.

All slides are anonymised in order for a blind assessment of submissions. Results are published electronically through our Results Portal in the members area. The results report shows both current and historical scores, in order for a participant to observe any prolonged trends that highlights opportunities for quality improvement.

In addition to the participating in the 6 assessment runs a year, a participant will receive the following added benefits:

  • Full access to the UK NEQAS CPT Website including the members area which contains an archive of best methodologies from high scoring participants
  •
  • Technical advice documentation including frequently asked questions from Non Gyn Cytology, and reports of the efforts undertaken to address poor quality cellular pathology technique
  •
  • An image library taken from submissions to the UK NEQAS CPT Schemes showing good and poor quality technique
  •
  • Access to technical advice from our large pool of expert assessors which covers any subject from sampling techniques to staining
  •
  • A newsletter published periodically throughout the subscription year providing feedback and information on the continual improvements that UK NEQAS CPT makes to improve quality in all aspects of cellular pathology
